Practice 1 went pretty well. Serving was random because they tossed and reached up. Tonight we fix the hold and the hip contact. Game jobs wait until next Friday.

The other half. Every girl a ball, or pairs. Locked platform, ball reflects up. Score only “up.” Freeze if a ball rolls onto Court 2. Chaos is allowed. Court 2 is not.
Groups switch at 5:45. Coaches stay. Next Friday you swap jobs.

Ready freeze tag (3 min). Dry serve swings, no ball (2 min). Opposite foot. Hand finishes at the net, not the ceiling.

Serve clinic — whole team
Ball lives at the hip. She does not toss. Coach may hold the ball for 2 reps. Contact at 4 o’clock / the hip, not arm-straight-up. Success from 6 feet if that is what it takes.

Coach toss → pass up (catch OK) → ball goes over (catch-and-push OK). “The ball has to go over.” Do not teach rotations tonight.

3v3 or 4v4. Catch-then-push legal. Bonus if two contacts. You toss the first ball. Live serve only if she can already get a held ball over.
